Celebrity couple Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are set to fly back to Uganda come February 2019 as government plans to make them Uganda’s tourism ambassadors.
The developments were confirmed by junior tourism Minister Hon Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi who was unveiling this year’s Christmas Tulambule campaign as he revealed that the couple will be named Uganda’s goodwill tourism brand ambassadors.
According to Kiwanda, using the Ministry of Tourism is among the various marketing strategies the government is employing to bring more tourists in the country during and after the festive season. Kiwanda went ahead to reveal that he will be unveiling new celebrity goodwill tourism ambassadors among which include socialite, Zari Hassan.
During his visit in Uganda, Kanye West met with President Museveni and promised to set up a regional tourism school before he gifted him with a pair of yeezy sneakers.
“We are recruiting goodwill tourism ambassadors. Our brother Kanye and his wife Kim are coming back in February,” Kiwanda assured.
It should be noted that the GOOD MUSIC CEO and his wife spent a week at Chobe Safari Lodge with a team of over 50 professionals who were working on the rapper’s upcoming album dubbed “Yandhi”.
