Terrible news reaching the Campus Bee desk indicate that Isaac Mugabe, a student who graduated from Kyambogo University in December has committed suicide.
Mugabe graduated with a First Class degree in Bachelors of Arts and Social Sciences and was among the best students.
According to Tumusiime Burt, a close friend to the deceased, it is alleged that Mugabe committed suicide after his body was discovered drowned in a pond with his phone and sim card besides the pond.
Mugabe, an old student of Kasule Secondary School was retained by his university as a junior lecturer due to his outstanding performance. Campus Bee is yet to ascertain the circumstances that led to his suicidal act.
Mugabe’s friends described him as a humble and a determined person who was capable of handling any hardships.
“What went wrong Mugabe? you were a fighter, strong, determined and humble person but it is so sad that you haven’t enjoyed the fruits of your struggle may your soul rest in peace,” eulogized Pauline Muteesi.
Mugabe’s body was yesterday laid to rest at his ancestral grounds in Mubende. May the deceased’s soul rest in peace.
