As examinations are approaching, it’s business unusual at the Banda based, Kyambogo University. Long lines are leading to every bank within campus and every office of clearance.
Many graduands are finding it hard to negotiate through these lines as they have to tussle it out with the continuing students without any favoritism.
At the Bursar’s office that is housed in the senate, the students flooded the interior corridors and many decided to reach the office through the window.
“It’s a real struggle.” Said one graduand. “You go from office to office chasing for your marks and then you finally come to the window. Another struggle.”
“Some lecturers are not readily available. They keep postponing day after day so it’s really hard if you have problems with your results.” Said another visibly pissed graduand.
However the Bursar’s office has employed many people in order to work on the many students flocking the office overwhelmingly.
