For those Kyambogo students who thought the festive season has come so early, things seem to have calmed down and they have to get back to serious business.
As earlier reported, lecturers have agreed to call off their prolonged strike, but on condition that Prof. Isaiah Omollo Ndiege’s contract is not renewed after it expires on 13th January 2014.
The outraged lecturers came to a conclusion during a general meeting with John Chrysostom Muyingo, the State Minister for Higher Education, at the varsity’s west end Main Hall.
This meeting comes as government last week, directed that the lecturers return to work or face dismisal and laer re-apply.
From tomorrow on-wards, students will be having serious lectures hoping their exams start next Monday as earlier scheduled.
