Kyambogo student who was stabbed by boyfriend says she forgives him

Kyambogo university first year student, Victoria Mary Naggayi, who was stabbed by her boyfriend last week on Friday says she forgives him.

“We won’t go on with the relationship but I forgive him,” Naggayi who is undergoing treatment at Nsambya hospital told students who paid her a courtesy visit.

Naggayi was attacked by her boyfriend, Mayinja Mohamed, also a first year student for allegedly detoothing his tuition fees. Mayinja is currently detained at Jinja Road police station.

Eye witnesses who were around the crime scene say Mayinja who happened to be carrying a black bag (laptop bag) came kindly inquiring from students where Naggayi could be at that particular time and after being directed, he followed Naggayi to the loos where the unfortunate incident happened from. A few minutes later, a bloody Naggayi came out running with Mayinja right behind as he tried eluding from the crime scene hence attracting attention of students and the security personnel who later arrested him.
