In regard to the current political unrests in the country where people in power continue to suppress ‘people power’ through extreme torture and injustices upon people’s leaders, Kyambogo University adds its dissatisfaction to the voices of the entire world upon the mistreatment and the way Uganda Members of Parliament are being handled whenever they are expressing their rights. Kyambogo University student leaders who truly believe in People Power and people’s rights in this beautiful country the pearl of Africa, Uganda, declare a ‘red week’ in respect to the release and end of torture of civilians especially Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi (BOBI WINE). Students are therefore requested to put on those red caps, trousers, skirts, ties, suits.
This followed the Arua incident that left many people in the hands of the military which has resulted into torture and mistreatment of some members of parliament including the Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi, Hon. Zaake and many .other Arua dwellers. The torture imposed on these people has called for reactions and solidarity targeted to fight for freedom. We hope this comes out positively.
