Word of the sudden surrender of Kyambogo University lectures in regards to the January-April semester has made rounds via the student platforms and social media inline with the alleged threatened increment of the lockdown by non-credible sources.
An act which doesn’t imply the cancellation of the end of semester examinations but rather means students are to teach themselves and simply return for finals as had been scheduled by the Hon. Janet Museveni.
News of this found the meek students of the institution still celebrating what could be to a lay man considered a sympathetic and forlorn easter festivity like never before.
Speaking to one of the affected students, our reporter picked up signs of frustration and infuriation with claims of prejudice and illegitimacy by the University administration but also, to an extent, justification in regards with the current pandemic problem mystifying the country.
A mechanical engineering lecturer discretely disclosed to the hive the necessity of completing the semester so as to proceed to the next year and stressed out how fundamental it was for the finalists to finish up their last papers so as to create room for the forthcoming freshers all in a bid to justify the drastic actions of his superiors and colleges.
Students are therefore required to put in an effort to receive these notes, handouts or pdfs from which ever source is available and convenient for them without abusing the presidential directives of staying home and social distancing and thereafter proceed to “Save the Semester ” from the comfort of their parents homes.
