Death seems to be hovering over university students during this lockdown caused by the novel corona virus. The latest sad news coming from Banda is that a second year student has succumbed to lung cancer.
Lisa Nakiyanga who has been battling the deadly lung cancer passed on last evening. She was pursuing a bachelors degree in Accounts and Finance. He classmates, who cannot unfortunately see her off because of the presidential guidelines on burials, eulogise Nakiyanga as a caring and loving friend who wished the best for everyone.
This is the third university student to pass on in just a week. Two students of Makerere University Business School died earlier this week.
The burial of Nakiyanga will take place today at Kasota, Mukono.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
