It is yet another sad day at the Nakawa based campus. In a space of three days, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has lost two students who have both succumbed to head injuries. The latest news in the Hive is that a one Ssande Anden, a first year student pursuing Bachelor of Business Administration has breathed his last at Mbale Referral hospital.
It is reported that the late Ssande sustained a head injury after he slid while in the bathroom. Julia Muhumuza, a MUBS Guild aspirant tweeted Campus Bee: “We lost another brother from #BBA 1 class,Group D, called SANDE SAMSON ADEN. According to sources, he died at 1:30am, after sliding on the tiles and started bleeding, as he was being taken to the hospital from Busia to Mbale he passed away.”
On Sunday evening, another MUBS student identified as Rogers Nkolo passed on after a suspected blood clot in the head.
Nkolo, who was a first-year student before his passing, was pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Statistics. It is reported to have knocked his head on a doorknob while at home, which caused a head injury that led to his passing on.
We wish the souls of the departed eternal rest and we call upon campus students to stay safe and vigilant during this lockdown.
