Yesterday, the 14th annual graduation ceremony kicked off in high gear as the first cohort of students from the graduate school, school of management and entrepreneurship and faculty of special needs and rehabilitation were awarded their honors.
At the event that was presided by the chancellor of the University, professor John Mary Ssebufu and professor Elly Katunguka Rwakishaya, Muliisa James the best student from the class of accounting and finance who also doubled as the best from the school of management and finance was awarded a scholarship by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Uganda for his outstanding academic excellence.
Mulissa James an old student of Masaka SS who scored a CGPA of 4.69 told this website that it hasn’t been an easy task for them but by God’s grace he made.
“Campus has been tactical the fact that no one is there to push you into doing what you are supposed to do, requires extra courage for one to do what is expected of them but above all, trusting God is key,” said Muliisa.
Today, Thursday the 14th December marks the second day of the event which is expected to run till tomorrow the 15th of December 2017 with a total of 7,501 students being passed out by the second biggest public university in Uganda.
