The Kyambogo University fraternity woke up to sad news in the morning of Wednesday, 17th February concerning the death of one of the students in the School of Management and Entrepreneurship
Nuwamanya Joweria, a female finalist student who was pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance breathed her last at about 5:00 AM after a long battle with Tuberculosis.
Nuwamanya is said to have struggled with this illness since last year (2020) after the medication that was prescribed for her failed to work. It was later discovered that she was indeed suffering from chronic Tuberculosis.
In January 2021, a fundraising was organised by one of Nuwamanya’s classmates in a bid to raise funds for her medical expenses which she could not afford as her life was on the line. However, efforts to restore it seemed futile as she lost her battle this early morning. She died in a period when she was completing her internship training and preparing for graduation.
“This early morning, the Lord decided to give you a better place. The agony you have left is truly unthinkable and the shock is heavy. But I still believe that you still smile because you’ve gone to a better place,” one of her closest friends only known as Fred commented on her demise on Facebook
Nuwamanya was laid to rest in Kamwenge District on Wednesday 18th February. Those with condolence contributions should send them on 0709727355 in the names of Nalwanga Aisha.
May the soul of the deceased rest in eternal peace.
