The committee on legal education and training of the Law Council has announced August 20 as the date for the compulsory Pre-Entry Examination for admission to the Post Graduate Bar course for 2018/2019 academic year.
The exams will be held at the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) Multipurpose hall, Lugogo, Prof Fredrick Ssempebwa the Chairperson to the Council, said in a statement at the weekend.
For one to be eligible to sit the examination, he or she must possess the minimum admission requirements of the University accredited to teach law course in Uganda, the statement said.
The listed universities accredited to teach law course in Uganda include Makerere University, Uganda Christian University, Kampala International University, Nkumba University, Uganda Martyrs’ University and Uganda Pentecostal University.
The closed book examination will start at 9:00 am, and all candidates have been asked to be at the venue by at least one and half hours to the examination time. Mobile phones have been banned inside the exam venue.
