The latest information coming in indicates that Kato Paul, the Makerere University 83rd guild president is preparing to run for Western Uganda Youth MP come 2021. According to Kato’s close friends, the former Makerere leader spends most of his time in the west trying to mobilize voters as well as sensitizing the youth about several issues.
We have also learned that Kato engaged with the youth of Mitooma District last week alongside Hon Thomas Tayebwa.
“Yesterday, I was pleased to attend the Mitooma district youths day celebrations. It was such a colourful function that involved very good messages to the young people. I used this occasion to tell these fellow young people about my plan for them as youths from the Western region come 2021. I am glad they welcomed it” Kato wrote on his Facebook account.
Kato joins Roy Ssemboga, the Makerere University 82nd guild leader who also announced that he will be joining mature politics as Kawempe South MP.
It should be recalled that Kato was last year awarded by the university council with an award of exemplary leadership and by the look of things, the sky will be his only limit.
