Students at the troubled Makerere University have been warned to fully clear fees by next week,  Monday 16, 2017, or else risk missing out on the Semester one 2016/17 final exams.

In a letter issued by Alfred Masikye Namoah the university academic registrar, all students are required to fully complete payments of both tuition and functional fees by the 12th week, (Monday 16, 2017).

He continued that any student that will fall short of this requirement will be required to pay a surcharge of 5 per cent of the outstanding balance of the feesb as stipulated in the tuition policy.

“Only students who have completed tuition fees will be issued permits by the college registrars,” the letter reads in part.

Examinations for the end of semester one 2016/17 have been scheduled to start on January 30,  2017.
