Makerere University community is in disbelief following the tragic news of the death of a former student leader.
Dr. Bandola Polly, a prominent member in the students’ Guild was today February 1, 2023 pronounced dead, leaving many in utter shock.
During his time at the great hill, Bandola served as the 84th Guild Chairman of Mitchell hall 2018/19.
According to information shared across the Guild Forums where the deceased belonged, Bandola passed on from Kalisizo, his work station in Kyotera District.
“I last talked to Polly yesterday at 11am and he was in sound health at work in Kalisizo, Kyotera District. Unfortunately, in the evening after work he chose to go and hang out and that’s where his head was hit (we are yet to know how),” a source revealed.
It is suspected that the deceased was murdered as details remain scanty.
Bandola was a notable student leader who made headlines on several incidents.
Commiserations have been pouring in especially from the Makerere University students’ fraternity.
