Makerere University Guild President H.E Robert Maseruka has called for applications from students in need of tuition support.
Mr. Maseruka intimated that the scholarships for this phase have been offered by Lige Education Foundation Limited through the “Save a Makererean campaign.”
“In a bid to save a common Makererean from the burden of tuition, we came up with the Save a Makererean campaign which has helped many students since its inception. In the same regard, we have now partnered with Lige Education Foundation Limited a private company whose main objective is to aid Ugandans narrow the gap in knowledge through awarding scholarships to students in recognized universities who are able to demonstrate that they deserve funding,” he announced.
He subsequently called upon “all the gallant intellectuals including finalists who are overwhelmed by tuition” to apply and grab the available slots.
Eligibility
- Applicants should not be beyond 30 years of age by the time of application.
- Applicants should be studying from a Ugandan recognized university and should have completed at least one semester.
- Applicants should not be a beneficiary of any scholarship say government scholarship, loan scheme, Madhavan and other scholarships.
- Applicants should be having a CGPA/GPA of 2.20 and above and not more than 2 retakes in a single semester.
