Mike MugIsha, a Teaching Assistant at the College of Health Sciences at Makerere University has left people wondering after he openly bragged about leaving a Makerere University student to rot in jail.
Mugisha took to his WhatsApp status to share how one of his students was arrested for illegally occupying one of the university’s halls of residence during the recently concluded holiday. Mugisha described the situation as his lowest throughout his 10 year stay at the Ivory Tower after the student in question asked for his help.
While talking to the officer in charge, Mugisha instead advised the Police to lock up the fool (his student) and throw the keys away.
“My lowest moment as lecturer at MUK for 10 years is when my student called me at midnight (Jan 12th 2020) to go get him released from police custody mbu since I was his industrial supervisor. He had been captured for illegally occupying a hall of residence during holidays. I told the OC to lock up the fool and throw away the keys, kamanyiro.” Mugisha’s WhatApp status reads in part.
“Just, you had better write sense in your report, otherwise a retake awaits you, stupid. And Muk, when you say Lecturers roles are teaching, research and community service, if this is what you mean by community service, byandeema. I will not manage.” Mugisha’s status reads further.
Mugisha’s close friends were left wondering how he could be heartless to an extent of awarding his student a retake on purpose.
