Samuel Mugarura, a former Makerere University student who made a name through innovating teargas is among the few people who can smile during this Coronavirus quarantine period. The latest reaching us indicates that Mugarura and his fiance Sharon Kisakye have welcomed a healthy baby boy to their family.
The boy, who has already been named Mugarura Junior came through on Wednesday night amid this COVD-19 scare. Shortly after receiving the news, Mugarura took to his Facebook to inform his friends before revealing how he is now okay to isolate himself.
“We just received a bouncing baby boy ‘Mugarura Jr’, now we can think of quarantine and self isolation.” Mugarura wrote.
Mugarura pursued a bachelor of Chemistry and Botany at Makerere University and his stay at Ivory Tower benefitted him big time. The certified chemist got himself a soul mate, got engaged and he is now making teargas in peace.
It should be recalled that Mugarura received UGX 400 Million from the government to scale his innovation and the last time we got in touch with him we were told that he was employing a team of 30 people which include chemists, mechanical and electrical engineers.
While at Makerere, Mugarura revealed that his teargas has no dangerous side effects like that used by police while explaining that he uses local ingredients like sugar, salt, pepper, food colour among others.
