Makerere University fresh graduate Solomon Serwanja is set to leave NBS TV and Next Media Services in general, Campus Bee has learnt. According to a tweet shared by Serwanjja on Monday, the BBC Komla Dumor Award winner will now focus on his new role as the Executive Director – African Institute for Investigative Journalism.
Serwanjja, who says its been an honor to serve NBS for six years further revelead that he will quit on 31st July to officially concentrate on his new role.
“On 31st July, I will be leaving @nbstv It has been such an honour to serve for the last 6 years. Thank you @KKariisa and the entire @nextmediaug family for the support. I will now focus on my new role as the Executive Director @AfricanIIJ, the home of investigative journalism,” Serwanjja tweeted.
It should be recalled that Serwanjja scooped a Master’s Degree in Journalism and Communication during the last day of Makerere University’s 71st graduation ceremony that went down in May 2021.
