The Makerere University community is mourning the death of Dr. Callist Tumwebaze, a lecturer of the institution.
He had expertise in Educational, Social and Organisational Psychology.
Dr. Tumwebaze previously taught courses such as Curriculum and Human Learning, and handled students of Psychology.
He attained a PhD in Psychology from the University of Dublin Trinity Colege in Ireland which he obtained in 2009.
In addition, he possessed an M.Ed in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts with Education (Literature and English Language Studies) which he obtained from Makerere University in 2002 and 1998 respectively.
From 2000 to 2006, he gained experience as an Assistant Lecturer at the Makerere University School of Education and Institute of Psychology.
While there, he taught psychology courses, conducted undergraduate research supervision, and acted as the Chairman on the Academic Steering Board of National Curriculum Development Centre for a period of one year.
