Makerere University, through the Office of the Dean of Students, has announced the dissolution of the 90th Guild Representative Council.
The announcement was made today, Thursday, February 13th, 2025, marking the end of their term of office.
According to the notice signed by Dr. Winifred Kabumbuli, the dissolution affects the current Students’ Guild Cabinet, the Guild Representative Council, and other Guild organs, with the exception of the Guild Tribunal.
During this transition period, the Guild Tribunal will remain operational, continuing to serve as a platform for students to raise concerns and grievances.
With the 91st Guild Electoral Commission in place, preparations for the next Guild members have already kick-started, with a detailed roadmap to be shared soon.
The dissolution marks the end of an era for H.E Lubega Nsamba and his colleagues.

Attention now shifts to the search of a new Guild president and GRCs across various administrative units at the hill.
