Campus Bee has received reliable intel of the three candidates who have been shortlisted for the Vice Chancellor- Finance and Administration job at Makerere University.

This comes months after the University was operating without a functional Deputy Vice chancellor in Charge of Finance and Administration.

The contenders shortlisted are Prof Anthony Mugisha, Assoc. Prof Allan Mulengani Katwalo and Prof William Bazeyo who is currently serving as the acting VC for the same position.

Prof Bazeyo earlier on in 2018, had led the contest however, his appointment was defied by Prof Mugisha saying that the search process was unfair and illegally done putting him in a disadvantage.

The communications office had revealed that the three professors in the race will hold public presentations on 10th August, roughly a week and a half from now.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor in the University is responsible for planning, budgeting, resource mobilization, Investment, and Procurements.
