The tennis courts at Africa Hall that have looked abandoned and neglected for ages have finally started to be worked upon. The Afrostone Lawn Tennis Court had been turned into a sweet potato plantation and its renovation has given a lot of hope and joy especially to the numerous students that do this sport as a hobby and also as a career.
This news was confirmed by the Vice Chancellor of the great institution who on inspection of the ongoing site said, “I have inspected the ongoing works for the rehabilitation of Tennis Courts which had been neglected for ages at Africa Hall. This marks the beginning of the rehabilitation of recreation and sports facilities, badly needed by our students.” He thanked Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) who in collaboration with his administration, made the facelift possible. The whole project is estimated to cost a total of about 74 million Uganda shillings.
