Belinda Birungi, a fresh UCU graduate was on Friday night killed by a speeding Lorry.
It was a few minutes after 8pm Friday night that a speeding lorry driver rammed into State Minister Sam Mayanja’s 22-year-old daughter, killing her instantly. This happened along Stretcher Road in Ntinda where Belinda Birungi, one of the Minister’s older children, was travelling on a Boda-Boda.
Eye witnesses say that the trailer failed to climb the Strecher hill, reversing and ramming into Birungi.
This accident scene isn’t very far from the Minister’s Ntinda Village residence where the daughter was staying too having graduated recently with her first degree from Uganda Christian University Mukono.
She had just found a job and was barely three months into it. Belinda Birungi previously studied at Seeta High School whereafter she joined UCU.
Friends eulogise Birungi
