Known for promoting Ugandan culture, MTN Uganda will headline the sponsors for the first edition of the Afropalooza festival.
MTN was unveiled as the title sponsors for Afropalooza at a pressor held at Sheraton hotel on September 12th, 2022.
Given that the festival will unite Ugandans across the region, MTN Uganda says it wouldn’t risk not being part of the event.
The Afropalooza will promote Uganda’s culture and tourism, not surprising that the ministry of tourism will also sponsor the festival.
According to Ally Allibhai CEO Talent Africa Group, the festival will be an annual entertainment get together.
Afropalooza will celebrate Ugandan art, culture and music every October, as part of the country’s independence celebration.
Aly Allibhai says that since the festival has alcoholic brands as sponsors (Nile Special and Jameson), it will be an adult only event.
The first edition of Afropalooza will attract at least 60 artists both local and international.

Among the international stars is Nigerian’s Rema and Kenya’s Sauti Solo, while a generational music concoction of local artists such as Raga Dea, Madox, Spice Diana will also feature.
Organized by Talent Africa, Afropalooza will be a three days’ music festival aimed at celebrating Uganda’s 60 years of independence.
The festival is scheduled to commence on October 7th at Lugogo cricket oval.
