The new academic year has started on a low note for Makerere University Business School’s (MUBS) second year Business Computing student, Emmanuel (second name withheld) who was sliced to pieces by a yet to be identified girlfriend.
According to our source at MUBS who preferred anonymity, Emma allegedly impregnated his girl friend, a classmate in the second year Business Computing class allegedly didn’t take any measures to help her terminate the pregnancy during the holiday something which angered her.
“They were dating last semester, we used to see them together and he got that girl pregnant. The girl aborted but it didn’t go down well- so she asked Emma for some money for help but he kept on ignoring her. When the girl heard that Emma had reported on Friday she seems to have made a deal with two friends into tricking him (Emma) for a sleep over and cut him into pieces. She invited him to her place and at around 1am the two friends came in to help in case Emma over powers her. When he fell asleep, she pulled out the panga and started cutting him with the help of the two friends,” the source told Campus Bee.
Emma, who was in dire pain was only found in the morning at around 4am with cuts on both hands, face and leg by neighbours at the MUBS small gate hostels who overheard the screams and wails in the wee hours of the night but couldn’t come out to help by then.
He was still admitted at the Mulago Intensive Care Unit with the girl in police custody by the time of compiling this story. The two friends who helped in this attempted murder where abouts were still unknown as they managed to escape in the middle of the night.
We will keep you posted.
