In preparation to celebrating 100 years of existence, Makerere University is moving from glory to glory.
The university has today morning celebrated a one Deusdeit Kansiime, who has been awarded a scholarship to do a PhD in English and Literature from Cambridge University.
“Congratulations to Mr. Deusdedit Kansiime our Alumni who has been awarded a @Gates_Cambridge Scholarship to do a PhD in English/Literature. He is one out of only three Africans from this year’s cohort of 79 scholars from across the world,” Makerere University announced.
Scholarship positions into prestigious universities like Cambridge are highly competitive, with narrow entry options for global academicians. Kansiime’s success id therefore worth a celebration with hope for many to come.
