In order to meet the needs of the growing student’s population, Muni University one of the public universities located in Arua District north western Uganda has recruited 40 new staff to make it a total of 169 members of staff at the university.
The event of unveiling them was held at the university and was graced by the university vice chancellor Prof Christine Dranzoa. 15 of these are going to be part of the teaching staff across the Faculties of Science, Management Science, Techno-Science, Agriculture and Education.
The remaining 15 new recruits will be part of the non-teaching staff. These newly recruited staff members were inaugurated in a three day training that happened last week. At its climax, there was a swearing in ceremony which was presided over by the university legal advisor Mr. Samuel Ondoma and the staff took oaths of secrecy and allegiance.
Recently Muni University introduced new courses to make a total of 8 programs.
