Mbarara University of Science and Technology has unveiled a plan that will enable its students proceed with their studies that had been halted following the closure of all institutions of learning.
In a letter addressed to all students, the University’s Academic Registrar – Dr. Martha Kyoshaba notes that following the sitting of the Academic Affairs Committee, it has been resolved that semester two of the academic year 2020/2021 will resume online on June 28, 2021.

According to the memo, semester 2 will kick-off before the students accomplish the pending semester 1 exams. The exams will be finished once the lockdown is lifted.
The development comes just 5 days after the President ordered for the closure of schools and institutions of learning.
The Ministry of education there after wrote to universities advising them to adopt to online learning to finish up their academic semester(s).
