Muteesa I Royal University (MRU) is set to hold their 10th graduation ceremony on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Kirumba main campus in Masaka city.
According to Ms. Elizabeth Nakalembe, the University’s marketing manager, the event will be held physically to allow all graduands, parents and their guardians to witness success of their children.
“The event will be attended by all the graduands, parents and guardians,” Ms. Nakalembe said.
She encouraged all prospective graduands to check with the faculty and finance offices to be sure of their graduation eligibility.
It was from this communication, that the marketing manager revealed that Muteesa I Royal University will be chartered come Jan 2023.
The establishment of MRU was a dual inspiration and motivation by Ssabasajja Kabaka Muwenda Mutebi II and promoted by the Executive Committee of the Buganda Kingdom, headed by the Katikkiro.
The basic preparatory work was carried out by the Buganda University Task Force (BUTF) which was inaugurated by Katikkiro of Buganda.
