The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has approved new study programmes at Muteesa 1 Royal University.
NCHE Executive Director Professor Mary J.N. Okwakol confirmed the development through a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor.
The new programmes are majorly at graduate level (with admissible Number of Students per Year) and these include;
- Master of Business Administration – 30
- Masters of Educational Management and Administration – 25
- Masters of Arts in Mass Communication – 15
- Masters of Arts in Peace and Human Rights – 30
According to the ED, the decision to accredit these courses was reached at by Council at its 73 Meeting of 13 October, 2023 under MIN, 567/73/2023, after its “due consideration.”
She also urged the Vice Chancellor to urge the university staff members to implement the new programmes in accordance with the regulations of NCHE.
NCHE shall also review the implementation during their periodic administrative and monitoring visits to Muteesa 1 Royal University.
