Sad news reaching our desks indicate that a former excellent swimmer from Ndejje University has today morning succumbed to blood cancer. The deceased has been identified as Sebalamu Ali who has been working in Dubai still in the swimming circles.
Sebalamu is remembered as one of the biggest swimmers Ndejje University has ever had and also a good swimmer in Uganda as a whole. The fallen swimmer is remembered for representing Ndejje University’s swimming team in the World University Games.
In one of the greatest swimming races ever witnessed in Uganda, Sebalamu managed to beat Makerere University’s Kabuulu who had ruled this race for so long amongst other Universities.
According to information from Ndejje University, the group’s cohesion was so strong that even after graduation these dudes preferred to chip in something on the technical side. Among the other swimmers Ndejje University still reminisce about include; Ibrah Muganzi,Max Kanyerezi,William Buyondo,Mathias Kabuubi,Hudah Bint,Olwot James,Walakira Isaiah,Waleed Muzeeyi,Kawooya Patrick,Kirunda who they termed as an invicible combination.
After various treatments at Mulago cancer institute, Sebalamu has finally lost the fight earlier today morning. Burial arrangements for Sebalamu are yet to be communicated.
