As we had promised to follow up the story of Ndejje University student whose body was discovered in Mulago city mortuary on Monday, details emerged and they are indicating that Idris Kazibwe was involved in motor accident as soon he left Kawempe to his dad’s place. He was staying in Kawempe Lugoba and on Sunday 16th February 2020, he had made an appointment with his Dad to meet and discuss matters concerning his sibling’s education and he opted to use a boda-boda so that he can reach there in time.
According to police’s documents which were at Mulago, they indicated that Kazibwe was referred to Mulago hospital by a private health facility known as Life Link that is located in Ntinda where the late obtained first aid from. It is said that by the time he was taken to Life Link he was unconscious and they were unable to get his details since even the people who took him there did not disclose their details to the doctors and nurses they found at the clinic. According to police, the postmortem report indicated that Kazibwe got multiple injuries especially on the head that caused his death.
According to Charles Ssebambulidde traffic police commander in Uganda, police failed to get the details of where the accident happened since they didn’t get any news about the accident. He alleged that Kazibwe got the accident, unknown people took him to Life Link where he was removed to be taken to Mulago.
