The Nkumba University Law Society has announced the death of Nankandwe Patricia, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) student who was due to graduate in October 2026.
In a message shared by the Nkumba University Law Society, the university community expressed grief over Patricia’s death, describing her passing as a painful loss to the LLB Class of 2026.
“It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the death of our dear student, Nankandwe Patricia who was awaiting graduation in October, 2026,” the Law Society said.
The society said Patricia’s death had left a gap that would be difficult to fill among her classmates.
“The LLB class of 2026 is really left with a gap that is difficult to fill,” the statement added.
Patricia was among the students expected to complete their Bachelor of Laws programme and graduate later this year.
The Law Society did not disclose the circumstances surrounding her death or provide details about funeral arrangements in the announcement.
Her death has since left fellow students and members of the university community mourning a colleague who was approaching the completion of her university journey.
