National Unity Platform’s flag bearer has won the Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) guild race.
Bill Clinton Nasasira was declared winner of the MUST guild election at the end of the poll on September 30, 2022.
Clinton defeated NRM’s Martin Nuwabine, Jeema’s Moreen Katushabe, Augustine Erima and Kenneth Nuwahurira, both independent.

Clinton’s victory leaves NUP as the leading political party at the western Uganda’s leading University.
This doesn’t make NUP the giant in western Uganda alone but across the four regions of Uganda.
It should be remembered that NUP leaning candidates emerged as winners in the guild elections at MUBS, Gulu University, and now Mbarara University.
