The results of the Academic year 2015/16 were finally released yesterday sending a shock wave across the MUBS students community after they learnt of their release. The results that were delayed due to ‘uncontrollable technicalities” as termed by the administration were finally released yesterday evening and made available on the e-learning platform by 5pm yesterday.
However, the remarkable mood that hovered over the Nakawa based university is one hilarious to reckon with. Finalists that had vowed not to step the campus premises broke their promise yesterday as they raided all small gate photocopiers bureau in a bid to find out their results. The ladies that had finished their entire stay at MUBS without ever stepping small gate were yesterday seen bargaining to be helped to access their results.
Wild chants could be heard as finalists that had ascertained that they shall be graduating were in jubilatory mood whereas heartbreaks could be seen written in bold on the faces of some students as they walked away in disappointment after learning that they will not be graduating as yet. For some, the news come in handy while for others, it simply spoilt all the plans that were seemingly set.
“My girl had to come over and spend the night and it was obvious I was going to eat some but after learning that she got a retake, she never showed up. Why did the results have to come back now?” a student told this website.
When asked about how the results went, Campus Bee’s graphics designer and brand Manager, Ssenkubuge Kenneth who has been pursing a Bachelors in Business Computing at the MUBS was over the moon after he learnt that he will be making it to the graduation list come next year.
“Man we have made it, we have finally leaped over the books hurdle”, a jovial Kenneth noted.
Worst still, students that had already left for home and their hostels after the morning and afternoon lectures were forced to return to campus as the pressure to know the results spread like a wildfire.
For those that made it, Congratulations and for those that had a glitch or two, it’s not the end of the world.
