More blessings keep following Quiin Abenakyo, a Makerere University Business School student who recently achieved a tremendous milestone when she was crowned Miss World Africa in the just concluded Miss World beauty pageant which was held in Sanya, China. The latest coming in is that the Parliament of Uganda in planning to honor Abenakyo in a special sitting.
Being the first ever Ugandan beauty queen to achieve this milestone, the speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has revealed that the they will definitely honor her for reaching such a big step at only 22 years.
“We need to be in the habit of celebrating our young people that do great things for the country. She has raised our flag, is running a great project to stop teenage pregnancies, the House will definitely honor her,” Kadaga said.
More good news shows that Miss Uganda is planning to hold a heroic welcome for Abenakyo ahead of her return in the country on a yet to be communicated date.
Besides Abenakyo, another young Ugandan who was honored by parliament for raising the Uganda flag happens to be Denis Onyango, the Uganda Cranes captain who emerged CAF’s best player and best goal keeper last year.
