A yet to be identified student of Makerere University lost his teeth last night when a fight between Mitchell Hall residents and Lumumba erupted. This was during the final guild rally that was held at Freedom Square.
The fight was as a result of unending violence between the two camps whose genesis has not yet been established. There are several other students currently nursing wounds from the violent rally, as some continue to seek medical attention.
Lumumba and Mitchell boys were yesterday spotted holding long stings and batoons throughout the rally, an act that led to the injuring of students, who are now serving as proof from the nasty fight.
The fight was later neutralized by Police Officers who made sure that calm is restored towards the end of the rally.
As the People Power tittle contest deepens, supporters of Mukisa Joshua and Kateregga Julius continued to fight for territory, as they both wanted to match along the same road located just in front of the university’s main building.
The university is awaiting election results as students continue to cast their votes from different faculties of the state-owned university.
