This year’s freshers of Makerere University have stormed the freedom square to attend the general orientation today Monday August 6th ahead of their first year. The fresh men of Makerere University were tipped on various issues ranging from campus rules, titles of various leaders at the university and where to meet them as well as security matters.
The freshers were also warned of sports betting, a vice that has become an addiction for many Makerere University students some of which have ended up betting with tuition money. There are various betting companies surrounding Makerere University that have made it easier for idle students to spend time at these outlets.
While speaking at the general orientation, Ritah Namisango, the University’s Public Relations Officer told freshers to also attend their respective college orientations which will go down throughout the orientation week.
Freshers were also urged to interact with top administrators during their stay at Makerere University.
