Earlier last week the civil and building engineering faculty was re-opened after under going renovation and according to most of the students on campus, this must be the one of the best infrastructures Kyambogo has ever had.
After the very many strikes and demonstrations, from the students hailing from the renovated faculty of civil and building engineering about the mess existing in their area most especially the lack of lecture rooms, the congestion which resulted at one point day and evening students getting combined for lectures causing discomfort.
The new orange renovated building was given a very fresh look, on top of that there is provision for the disabled students that was put to enable those who can’t use the stair case.
The students complains were finally put to rest after the vice chancellor re-opened the faculty and some students were overheard saying the renovation was more than they had expected.
“How I wish all the rusty old buildings are renovated to this extent, Kyambogo will qualify to be called the second largest public University, ” said Hashim a finalist from the civil faculty.
A lot of works are currently ongoing at KYU and we hope for the best.
