A total of seven candidates contesting for two positions of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs) and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration) Makerere University made their respective presentations to staff, students and members of the public in the university’s Main Hall.
The presentations were made in two days where the first bunch of five candidates presented yesterday 5th November. The candidates who presented yesterday include; Prof. Constant Okello-Obura, Dr. Umar Kakumba, Dr. Betty Akullu Ezati, Dr. Gorettie Nsubuga Nabanoga and Prof. Peter K. Baguma.
The second bunch included candidates running for the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration), Makerere University who also made their presentations today Tuesday, 6th November. They include Prof. William Bazeyo and Prof. Anthony Mugisha.
The Public Presentations were organized by the Senate Search Committee for the positions of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs) and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration). Members of the Senate Search Committee include; Prof. J.Y.T Mugisha (Chairperson), Prof. Grace Bantebya Kyomuhendo, Dr. Florence M. D’ujanga, Dr. Frank N. Mwine and Dr. Gilbert Maiga
The Office of the Academic Registrar led by Mr. Alfred Masikye Namoah and assisted by Mrs. Patience Mushengyezi and Mr. Justus Karegyeya is the Secretariat to the Senate Search Committee.
Presentations for the positions of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs) and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration) were all moderated by Dr. John M. Kitayimbwa and Dr. Florence Bayiga.
