Queen Jovia Mutesi: From Olympia Hostel To Busoga Palace

The Basoga have thousands of reasons to start their weekend celebrations early this week and Jovia Mutesi is among the many reasons.

It has nothing to do with Mutesi’s beauty but with her announcement as the Inebantu (Queen) of Busoga.

Jovia Mutesi was announced as the queen of the Kyabazinga King Nadiope IV on Thursday and their royal wedding is slated for November 18th, 2023.

So many years ago, the Bee spotted this beauty during her university days and little did she know that King Nadiope was reading our stories (We are just bragging).

Jovia Mutesi who was then a resident of Olympia Hostel and a student of Bachelor’s of arts in economics at Makerere University had completely different dreams.

Mutesi dreamt of being a successful economist and air hostess but the lord had bigger and better plans for her.
