The body of youthful and renown Ugandan student-activist, Esther Nakajjigo who died in Colorado (USA) has been repatriated and buried, at a funeral service that happened today Aug 24.
The 23-year-old reportedly perished in an accident in the US when she was hit by the metallic gate of the Arches National Park due to a heavy storm.
The deceased was an activist and Uganda’s Ambassador for Women and Girls and a European Commission Young Leader who shed her light on many International platforms fulfilling her mission as a girl-child.

Speaking at the funeral, the Ag. Head of Cooperation at the European Union, Thomas Tiedemann upheld her priceless efforts to support the under privileged and the girl-child.
“She shone a light on the shocking situation of teenage girls in the Kalangala islands who, out of socio-economic vulnerability, engage in what is dubbed “sex for fish”, an exploitative practice resulting in teenage pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections and abject poverty.” Tiedemann pronounced.
Esther also led a popular reality television show on teenage pregnancy called ‘Saving Innocence Challenge’, a popular female-led movement financed by a local girls partnership. May her soul continue Resting in Eternity.
