It was a very dark day yesterday (Sunday 8thJune) as two Uganda Technology and Management University(UTAMU) students, Hillary Namanya(38) and his wife Barbra Natukunda, who perished in an accident along Kabale Kisoro road, were laid to rest in Ruhinda Subcounty, Rukungiri District.

The two instantly died on Friday 6th June after their car crashed along a road in Kisoro District as they were heading for a Scientific wedding that was supposed to take place the following day.

During the burial, an eye witness Rev. Ignatius Arinaitwe narrated how the couple perished while he was looking at the whole scenario.

“It was Friday at around 3:30PM when I decided to climb with a friend at Kanaba Hill to see the scenery of Kisoro District. Few Minutes later, I heard a terrible sound and only to see it was a car hitting the road guards and it rolled down into a garden. It was a very terrible accident” narrated Rev. Ignatius Arinaitwe

The witness further added that the cause of the accident wasn’t over-speeding as other people had earlier reported and he attributed the cause to the driver’s loss of control over the vehicle.

Friends and family have expressed the intense sorrow that has be fallen them after losing two relatives in a single day.
