Many look forward to joining public universities in Uganda, as expected prospective students usually wonder whether the subjects they offered at Advanced Level (senior six) qualify for their dream courses at campus.
As a way to address that, the Ministry of education and sports formulates guidelines each year that serve as criteria for how a university applicant stands a chance to get the academic programme they apply for, considering subjects offered at A’level.
This year’s course guiding handout has therefore been released indicating essential and relevant subjects which an applicant is required to have to be fit for a given course.
The new application guide includes two additional public universities namely; Soroti and Mountains of the Moon, which brings the total to 10 (public) in the country from 8 as at last year.
