Earlier this week the guild cabinet at Nakawa based Makerere University Business School launched a campaign to collect USD 13, 400 [UGX 46m] to save a fellow student, Bamwesigye Raymond who needs to undergo a surgery operation in India.
All is not lost after singer Desire Luzinda who is currently in Sweden gave her contribution of UGX 1 million to the campaign. According to her verified Facebook page, the singer said, ‘ We play our part and leave the rest to God.’
The chief washer at the charity event will be Comedian Salvador Idringi who has also called on the public to come support and save a life. Raymond’s father, Retired Paddy Nabimanya has availed his line, 0772656680 in case of any inquiries or Contributions.
The Guild at MUBS launched the campaign under the hash tag #SaveOurRaymond and with this, they have managed to collect more than half of the required funds. The climax of the campaign will be tomorrow at Panamera Bar, Naguru with a Charity Car Wash where cars will be washed for 50, 000 UGX.
