NKUMBA: Over the weekend, thugs raided one of the hostels [unnamed] near Nkumba University and robbed students of their valuable items such as laptops and phones.
Students decided to put up a fight but unfortunately they were overpowered by thugs as the thugs resorted to cutting the students with machetes and raping the female students. It was late in the night no one could come to their rescue, the neighbor called 999, but it took like four hours to come and by the time it came, they had lost a lot of blood and as a result, one of them, only identified as Sara, has passed on.
The hostel is not guarded, explaining how the thugs accessed the hostel premises.
