After Campus Bee reported the case of Akandinda Akampororo Cathy, the UCU girl who was arrested for allegedly stealing laptops from her mates at Soso Courts, she has finally spoken out.
Here is what she had to say;
“I heard about that and I found it so unbelievable, why would I borrow all twenty laptops sincerely. ?
I would borrow a friends laptop to get a loan and pay back,that’s what happened. I thought that would save me, I didn’t realise I was getting into a ditch ??
A lot has happened, I’ve been through a lot no one seems to understand, everyone has their own version of the story.
Well it all started with me helping a friend of mine at MAK pay up a balance of her tuition, she is an orphan and I was with her in O’ level but she stays in Rwanda, so I knew someone that could lend this money to her, we went I guaranteed her, I didn’t know if she failed they would come to me…. She went back to Rwanda and she didn’t know the deadline so these guys start bugging me, I had to look for it but I was using the wrong means coz I was scared of telling my parents, till I realised there’s nothing else I could do apart from facing them and telling them all this, then what’s when my mom came in.”
