Uganda Christian University (UCU) students of the Advent Semester are soon wrapping up the academic year with exams around the corner.
Information coming from the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Finance & Administration indicates that no student will be allowed to sit for the final exams if there’s an outstanding payment.
This was through a letter shared by the university shared today on the X platform.
“This communication serves to inform all UCU Advent Semester students that only those with “Zero Fens Balance shall be permitted sit for the Advent Serveries 2023 Examination,” the memo reads in part.
Concerned parties were alerted to respect the deadline for paying the tuition balance so as to avoid disruptions.
Students have thus been advised to clear with the Finance office by Friday, 1st December, 2023 at 3:00 PM.
“……thereafter, no payments shall be honored. This will allow for the timely production of the Semester Examination lists. Please ensure that your Fees balances are duly cleared in time to avoid any inconvenience,” the memo added.
This comes at a time when UCU is running a campaign to help students with tuition challenges – 10k campaign.
Just this week, the 10K Campaign Team was pleased to inform Advent Semester Finalists of an opportunity to obtain financial assistance to those struggling to complete their fees.
Interested applicants must take note of the following:
- Must be registered students who are finalists in their last semester of study.
- The fees balance should not exceed Ug Shs.300,000/=
