President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is today scheduled to address the nation on COVID-19 and related matters at 8 pm. The President is expected to respond to circulating rumours suggesting that higher institutions of learning will reopen for physical lectures in November.
The rumours also suggest that lower schools will have to wait until January 2022 to open again. Museveni announced the closure of all education institutions in June this year following a spike in COVID-19 infections and deaths.
Among other issues, Museveni is expected to give the country a clear plan on how the economy will be fully reopened following pressure from bar owners, church owners, and stakeholders in the entertainment industry.
